Overview

Indian business travelers planning short-term visits to Saudi Arabia for meetings, trade partnerships, or conferences are required to obtain a Saudi Business Visit Visa prior to travel.

This visa allows Indian citizens to enter Saudi Arabia for business activities that do not involve employment or local remuneration. The visa may be single-entry (up to 90 days) or multiple-entry (valid up to 1 year) depending on the purpose and invitation type.

Applications can be filed via the Enjazit platform or through the Saudi Embassy in New Delhi, once an invitation letter approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Saudi Arabia is issued.

Must be valid for at least 6 months from intended date of return, with two blank pages. Old passport required if available.

Photographs

Two recent color photos (35x45 mm, white background, matte finish, neutral expression, no glasses).

Cover Letter from Indian Company

On official company letterhead, stating applicant’s details, travel purpose, duration, and expense bearer. Must match the invitation letter.

Bank Statement (3 months)

Original, signed, and stamped statement showing financial stability. Must be printed on A4-sized paper with visible bank seal.

Invitation Letter from Saudi Company

Must be MOFA-approved, translated into Arabic, and include company details, travel purpose, and authorized signature.

Chamber of Commerce Letter

Issued on official MCCIA letterhead, sealed and signed, validating the business purpose and applicant’s designation.

Degree Certificate (Proof of Qualification)

Original educational certificate required if the purpose of visit is related to a professional field. Must be attested if requested.

Company Registration Certificate

Proof that the inviting company is legitimate and lawfully registered with Saudi authorities.

Flight Itinerary

Confirmed round-trip air tickets showing entry and exit from Saudi Arabia.

Travel Insurance

Strongly recommended to cover the entire stay period. Must include applicant details and medical coverage.

Saudi Arabia Visa: Application & Processing Tips

Visa Requirement

Indian citizens need a Saudi Business Visit Visa for trade/meetings, approved by MOFA via the Enjazit portal.

Apply at least 2–3 weeks before travel to accommodate embassy appointments and MOFA verification.

Typically 5–10 working days depending on embassy workload and document accuracy. Express processing may be available for urgent cases.

Complete the online form and pay the fee; track status via the MOFA portal using the reference number via https://visa.mofa.gov.sa/.

Genuine Purpose

The visit must be for legitimate business activities such as meetings, trade fairs, or partnership discussions.

Financial Stability

You must have enough funds to cover travel, accommodation, and living expenses.

Strong Home Ties

You must show sufficient reasons to return to India, such as employment, business ownership, or family commitments.

Good Character

Applicants must not have any criminal record. A Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) may be requested.

Health Requirements

You must meet the minimum health standards required by Saudi Arabia’s authorities.

Application Tips
