Business Visa (Non-Immigrant “B” Visa)

Overview

Thailand is one of Asia’s strongest business destinations for Indian entrepreneurs and professionals, known for its thriving manufacturing, trade, and tourism sectors. Indian citizens traveling to Thailand for business meetings, trade events, or corporate collaborations must apply for a Non-Immigrant B (Business) Visa before travel.

Applications can be filed through the Royal Thai Embassy or VFS Global, or via the Thailand eVisa online portal depending on eligibility.

Document Checklist

Before applying, ensure all documents are complete, clear, and correctly signed.

Document

Requirement Details

Passport

Must be original and valid for at least 6 months beyond travel. Must have two blank pages and be in good condition.

Photographs

Two color photos (35x45 mm, white background, matte finish, neutral expression). No glasses or headgear except for religious purposes.

Air Tickets

Confirmed or blocked round-trip flight itinerary showing travel to and from Thailand.

Cover Letter from Indian Company

On company letterhead, including applicant’s full name, designation, passport number, travel purpose, and duration of stay. Must be signed and stamped.

Invitation Letter from Thai Company

Issued on official letterhead, mentioning applicant’s details, purpose of visit, duration, and company registration number. Should include signature, stamp, and contact details of host.

Company Registration Papers (Thai)

Copy of Thai company’s registration certificate and shareholder list (attested).

Company Registration Papers (Indian)

Attested copy of Indian company’s business registration or GST certificate.

Bank Statement (6 months)

Minimum balance of ₹50,000 per traveler. Original, signed, and sealed by the bank.

Balance Sheet

Recent financial statement or balance sheet of the applicant’s company (certified copy).

Income Tax Returns

Proof of IT returns for the past three years.

Accommodation Proof

Confirmed hotel booking or company-provided accommodation letter with address and stay dates.

ID Proof of Thai Host

PAN or passport copy of the authorized signatory from the inviting company.

PAN Card Copy (India)

As identity and signature proof for Indian applicants.

Thailand Visa: Application & Processing Tips

Visa Requirement

Indian citizens must obtain a Non-Immigrant B (Business) Visa before entering Thailand for business purposes.

Apply at least 10–12 days before your intended travel date, especially during peak travel seasons.

The evisa takes about 5 to 10 working days to be processed. It is completely online but also offers embassy options if preferred.

Eligibility Criteria for Thailand Business Visa

To qualify for a Thailand Business Visa, Indian citizens must meet the following requirements:

Genuine Purpose

Visit must strictly be for legitimate business activities such as trade meetings, corporate discussions, exhibitions, or client visits.

Financial Stability

Applicants must demonstrate sufficient funds to cover travel, stay, and daily expenses.

Strong Home Ties

Applicants must provide proof of intent to return to India, such as employment verification, business registration, or family commitments.

Good Character

Applicants should not have any criminal record. Police clearance may be requested.

Health Requirements

You must meet the minimum health standards required by Thailand’s authorities.

Application Tips

Submit a scanned copy of all business registration certificates from both companies.

Ensure the Thai company invitation is stamped, signed, and dated.

Keep all documents in both soft copy and printed form for verification.

Provide accurate travel and accommodation details in all documents to avoid rejection.
