Who Needs a Business Visa?

All Indian nationals traveling to Greece for business or professional activities — including meetings, trade exhibitions, client visits, or official partnerships — must obtain a Greece Business Visa (Schengen Type C) before traveling.

This visa allows a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period, covering both Greece and other Schengen states.

Exemptions apply only to citizens of Schengen and EU member countries — Indian passport holders are required to apply in advance.

BTW Visa Tip: Applicants holding valid multiple-entry Schengen visas issued by other countries can use them for Greece, provided their main purpose of travel aligns with the original visa type.

What Is a Greece Business Visa?

Tips for Smooth Visa Approval

  • Apply early: Begin the process at least 3–4 weeks before travel, especially during summer and trade show seasons.

  • Ensure document alignment: Purpose, dates, and company details must match across your cover letter, invitation, and form.

  • Provide clear financials: Maintain a stable balance (₹1.5–2 lakh minimum) across the last 3 months in your bank account.

  • Include event details: If attending a trade fair, add proof of registration or exhibitor confirmation.

  • Maintain transparency: If visiting multiple EU countries, explain your travel plan in the itinerary section.

  • Use official communication: All invitations and cover letters should be sent from verified company domains (no generic email IDs).

  • Carry hard copies: Keep printouts of all bookings, insurance, and the invitation during your travel — Greek border authorities may verify them.

  • Buy Schengen-compliant insurance: Ensure coverage of €30,000 or more for all Schengen states.
