Georgia Business Visa Guide for Indian Corporate Travelers

Everything You Need To Know - Indian Passport Holders

Georgia, located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, has quickly grown into a strategic business destination for Indian investors and professionals. With its liberal trade policies, free economic zones, and easy access to European and CIS markets, Georgia offers a promising environment for business meetings, investments, and corporate collaborations.

Indian citizens traveling to Georgia for short-term business visits — including trade negotiations, investor meetings, and participation in conferences — must apply for a Georgia Business Visa before travel (unless eligible for eVisa). Georgia’s business visa process is straightforward and can be completed online through the official eVisa portal or via the Embassy of Georgia in New Delhi.

Who Needs a Business Visa?

Indian citizens visiting Georgia for non-remunerated professional or commercial purposes — including meetings, market visits, or project inspections — must obtain a Business Visa. The visa is valid for both single and multiple entries, depending on the applicant’s travel intent.

However, Indian citizens holding valid and used multiple-entry visas from the EU, Schengen, UK, USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, or Australia can enter Georgia visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

For others, the Georgia Business Visa or eVisa remains mandatory.

BTW Visa Tip: Even if you qualify for visa-free entry, carry printed copies of your supporting visa and travel proof — immigration officers may ask for them at the port of entry.

What Is a Georgia Business Visa?

The Georgia Business Visa is a short-term entry permit granted to foreign nationals, including Indian citizens, who intend to visit Georgia for business or professional purposes such as meetings, conferences, negotiations, or trade participation.

Applicants can choose between two modes of application — the online eVisa system or the Embassy/Consulate route. The eVisa is ideal for short visits, while the embassy route is recommended for multiple-entry or long-term business travelers.

  • Maintain document consistency: Your cover letter, invitation, and travel itinerary must have identical details.

  • Avoid last-minute corrections: Re-submissions delay embassy approvals.

  • Prepare financial proof: Maintain at least ₹1.5–2 lakh in your account for trip expenses.

  • Verify the host company: The Georgian host organization should have an active business registration number.

  • Keep communication official: All email communications with the host or embassy should come from official business domains.

  • Travel insurance is mandatory: Without valid coverage, visa issuance or entry can be denied at immigration.
