What you need to know

  • Payment must be made by demand draft only.
  • The draft must be purchased from any nationalized or foreign bank in India.
  • The payee name must be CONSULATE GENERAL OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA IN MUMBAI.

This follows the move of China visa submissions in Mumbai to the Consulate General: China Visa Applications in Mumbai Move to the Consulate General from 26 October 2026.
