From 26 October 2026 the Mumbai Visa Application Center will no longer accept applications for Chinese visas and consular legalization services; these will be accepted directly by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Mumbai.
Key dates and fees
- From 26 October 2026: applications are accepted directly by the Consulate General in Mumbai.
- Until 12:00 noon on 30 October 2026: processed documents can be collected.
- Online applications submitted after 17:00 on 23 October 2026 carry no service fee; fees collected before that time are non-refundable.
Payment note: only demand drafts are accepted at the Consulate General.
