At the last step of the China Online Visa Application (COVA), after you fill in the form, upload materials and confirm your information, the “Offline payment” page for Mumbai shows an application form number and an “Amount due”. It carries two warnings in red.

What the payment page says

  • The payment cannot be refunded once it is successfully made.
  • This amount is for reference only. The final fee is subject to the actual charge by the Embassy.

Payment method

The payment method shown is Pay at the Embassy/Consulate. The Mumbai details on the page are:

  • Office address: 10th Floor, Nariman Bhavan, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400021, India.
  • Inquiry mailbox: consulate_mumbai@mfa.gov.cn

Before you pay

Because the payment is non-refundable and the amount on screen is only a reference, check your visa category and the final fee before you pay. For the fee list, see China Visa Fees 2026: Mumbai Price List. Note that only demand drafts are accepted at the Consulate General: read the update.
